“Bright yellow. Vibrant aromas of lemon zest and minerals with a touch of dusty brown spices. A delicately floral, spicy 2010 with a tart lemon flavor and a lovely impression of salty mineral extract. Very tactile, dry and uncompromising chardonnay. This very suave, refined wine finishes with a strong stony quality and a light touch..." - Stephen Tanzer

Medium straw color. The seductive nose shows great complexity, with tiers of aromas that include vanilla, toast, butter, hazelnut, honey, clove and peach. The wine spreads out and coats the palate, adding liquid minerality, citrus and cinnamon. These flavors echo long and full at the finish. Intense and well-knit, this bottling demonstrates the power of the Hyde Vineyard fruit at its finest.” -Glen Frederiksen

"...Patz & Hall’s Hyde Vineyard Chardonnay is effusive and rich – yet retains its manners. Effusive aromas and flavors of lemon curd, pineapple, caramel and toasted spices are framed by a steely, minerally structure and mouthwatering acidity. It’s full-bodied and intensely flavorful, yet without an ounce of fat. Serious stuff.” - Linda Murphy

"Pale yellow-gold.  Distinctly Chablis-like aromas of lemon ice, menthol and minerals.  Dense and stony, with excellent inner-mouth lift to the licorice and menthol flavors.  Still quite unevolved.  Most impressive today on its very long, strong aftertaste, which features terrific energy and cut.  This was aged in 50% new oak but I never would have guessed it." - Stephen Tanzer

“Bright green-tinged yellow. High-pitched aromas of citrus peel, yellow plum and flowers. Shapely, vibrant and mineral-driven, with a tactile, saline quality to the ripe, sweet flavors of white peach and orange zest. Very firm acidity gives this an almost youthfully tart character, but this chardonnay has the stuffing to support it. Finished with very good mineral persistence. My favorite of these chardonnays today.” - Stephen Tanzer

“Tight and concentrated, with spicy pear, mineral, cedar and light toasty oak. Full-bodied, at points crisp and lively, yet also broadshouldered and a bit raw in texture. Needs time. Best from 2012 through 2019.” - James Laube

“More orange marmalade, pineapple, honeysuckle, and candied fruit aromas jump from the glass of the deep, full-bodied, elegant, mineral-laced 2007 Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard. The wood is pushed well to the background in this layered, well-textured offering. It should drink well for 5-6 years.” - Robert Parker
