"Deep ruby-red.  Slightly medicinal but expressive aromas of crushed blueberry and wet stone.  Sweet, pliant and deep on entry, with a distinctly chewy texture and noteworthy tension to the flavors of dark berries, red currant and pomegranate.  Then more penetrating on the back half, delivering the strong acidity of a cool site.  This very young pinot finishes with building tannins and should reward a few years of cellaring." - Stephen Tanzer

“Serves up layers of cola, blackberry, wild berry, spice, mint and savory herb touches. Full-bodied, with good intensity and focus, starting to flesh out but still a touch tannic. Best from 2012 through 2019.”—J.L

“The deep ruby-hued 2007 Pinot Noir Gaps Crown Vineyard boasts abundant notes of plums, black currants, black cherries, flowers, and hints of licorice as well as rose petals. Broad and super-rich, it is the most intensely concentrated of these Pinots.” - Robert Parker
