The 2004 Alder Springs Vineyard Mendocino Pinot Noir exudes dark fruit aromas of plums and blackberry, accentuated by cigar box and coffee. Packed with tannins, the wine is dense and plush in the mouth. Its exotic briary character is elegantly enhanced by flavors of cassis and lavender. This is a complex and concentrated wine which expands dramatically when decanted.
