A more energetic and aromatic incarnation of our Alder Springs Vineyard –Mendocino Pinot Noir than in previous vintages, this wine displays a vibrant nose of plum skin, cranberry and tart cherry. On the palate, it segues to flavors that bring together both red and dark fruit layers, alongside enticing notes of sassafras and licorice. Like architectural elements, the wine’s acidity and high-mountain tannins combine to create focus and poise. Still somewhat youthful and unbridled, this wine promises to develop beautifully over the next few years.
